XTension Discussion
Re: Daylight Savings Time Change - newbie
The DST thing isn't an ongoing problem, it's just that both the flag and the time are changed by the system so there is no way for us to properly calculate the new dates once a change has occurred. In the same session anyway, the only hope for a carbon app (which XTension will be for the time being but already moving towards all the changes necessary to go fully cocoa for the future) is to restart to get things back in sync for another year. But you cannot restart into the broken condition, you've got something else going on here.
The time of them is calculated by default from the city you set in the time control panel, if that is significantly north or south of your real position the calculation might be significantly off even in your real time zone. You can also fine tune that in the XTension preferences where you can enter a specific lat/lon and enter offsets too if you wish due to altitude or something.
