James-
I did get the unit re-created and all is well. Somehow there was a hang up in creating the original unit that allowed the battery check to trigger the "alarm" of the DS10A. I had a time trying to get XTension to let go of the old "difficult" unit. After many attempts I had to pull the batteries (again after several attempts) and short the battery connections of the unit together. I probably could have waited a day with no batts. installed instead. With a newly created unit and using XTension's newly assigned address, XTension was still equating the newly created and new-named unit to the old address and would not accept the conflict until after shorting out the contacts.
Thanks-
