I recall way back when we started adding antennas to things with the
MR26 mod that someone around here did some serious experimentation
trying to mix the signals from 2 antennas only to get mush and no
valid signals. Perhaps Michael will recall who and when that was. An
regular TV/FM coax amp works wonders also under most circumstances and
if you haven't tried that you should.

The other option is to use multiple receivers. Perhaps you're thinking
of getting an RFX anyway, or adding a redundant W800. One connected to
the regular antenna, one connected to a directional one, or just run
some cat5 through the yard to a receiver closer to the thing. I have a
W800, an RFX, a CM15 and a CM19 all receiving from different antennas.
