James - thanks for the clarification. The reason I thought it could also display the value is because of what is stated in the online docs: "Displays a simple box with either the value of the unit if it's dimmable, the state if its ON/Off or if you have
state lables the current label from the unit."
I'll use your solution and roll my own version to display the value. Appreciate the clarification on the color labels also.

The small unit status module only displays the status, not the value.
But you can easily make your own module that can display it.
