Does it work at all? If you've moved to a new mac or re-install the OS
you'll need to re-run the "install USB Device Support" from the file
menu.

the background process that runs the low level interface will always
quit if you pull the USB plug, and it may crash depending on the state
of the driver when you do that. Thats one of the reasons why we wrote
those low level communicators as separate apps, so they can crash if
the system causes them to, but XTension can attempt to restart them.

If they continue to randomly crash or loose connectivity then you need
to look for some USB issue, bad cable, bad hub, picking up noise on
the line from something nearby, something that would be causing the
USB bus to reset itself or think it's lost connectivity even when it
hasn't really.

USB is evil... This is one reason why I keep suggesting that people
hold onto or buy new RS232 devices. As small as the market for USB/
Serial adaptors is, it's still a gazillion times larger than the
market for USB/X10 devices is and so those drivers will be
significantly better tested by the time you need them than these other
direct to USB devices.
