I have no problem with being an 'object lesson'.

However, I will say that X10 IS 'unreliable' in a number of different circumstances. But, I will caveat that observation with the fact
that, for security and other reasons, it is better than running
around myself.

It helps us to appreciate that there are 'little things', like
plugging in an X10 module to something that was working quite well
before and thinking things will continue to work well. Hence the
suggestion of a LOG entry for addition/change of modules.

Might help in tracking down odd behaviors.

P.S. Still have good control of the environment. However, the under-
bed speakers are not coming on. Probably a matter of (1) size of the
property and (2) there's a surge suppressor—to protect the speakers— it is plugged into.

Question: Would an Appliance Module be better suited for this
application?
