I've been using it for a couple of years on a 300GB drive in my
QuickSilver and never had a problem. (The drive is connected to the
same ATA/IDE cable as the optical drive, which is only a 33MHz bus,
but it works fine as an auxiliary drive.)
There are some rules about partitioning the drive. IIRC, the first
(bootable) partition can be 120GB max, but after that, you can have
partition(s) of any size.
