Some fancier TV's have the ability to use multiple remotes with
different tv's by either pairing remotes like the AppleTV's do, or
just setting them to respond to remote1 or remote 2 the way that a
TiVO does. This is to support you if you have an IR distribution
system and 2 TV's of the same make that would respond to the same
remote signals so that you dont get the TV in the living room and
bedroom responding to the remote in the bedroom when you only wanted
the DVR or something. Could the TV have gotten itself set to remote 2 or whatever the equivalent is?
Or is there just a big child fingerprint of peanut butter on top of
the IR receiver... Thats happened to me...
