iCal Pub/Sub problem with Tiger and Leopard
Greetings!
I have an applescript that walks through my iCal calendars on my main
(non-XTension) computer, creates a text file of upcoming events, and
then writes it to the disk of my XTension machine. XTension has a
scheduled event that reads the file and sends out an email with the
upcoming events.
I recently upgraded my XTension machine to OSX, and it has been very
problematic writing the text file to the XTension machiine. I get
randomly generated errors about permissions, security, access etc.
(This is with several different schemes, including scripted AppleShare
and Unix commands).
I thought I would subscribe to the calendars from the XTension machine
and eliminate the file transfer problem. However, when I subscribe
from the Tiger XTension machine to a calendar on my Leopard laptop,
the event descriptions do not get displayed. That is, the calendar
items show up, with the correct times, but no name.
BTW, I have the same problem if I subscribe to a Tiger-hosted calendar
from my Leopard machine.
Any ideas on how to get the calendars to display correctly? I am
publishing to a webdav server (www.icalx.com).
Thanx.
