w800 Timer error after protocol break
Hello List,
it has been a long time that I have these random errors filling my
logs, and this time I tried to solve the problem. I have a W800 with
European frequencies, and very randomly I get 5 or 10 minutes of "W800
Timer error after protocol break"like this:
Ven 4 avr 2008 21:28:15 W800: Timer error after protocol break
Ven 4 avr 2008 21:28:16 W800: Timer error after protocol break
Ven 4 avr 2008 21:28:17 W800: Timer error after protocol break
Ven 4 avr 2008 21:28:18 W800: Timer error after protocol break
Ven 4 avr 2008 21:28:19 W800: Timer error after protocol break
Ven 4 avr 2008 21:28:21 W800: Timer error after protocol break
Ven 4 avr 2008 21:28:22 W800: Timer error after protocol break
Ven 4 avr 2008 21:28:28 W800: Timer error after protocol break
Ven 4 avr 2008 21:28:31 W800: Timer error after protocol break
Ven 4 avr 2008 21:28:35 W800: Timer error after protocol break
Ven 4 avr 2008 21:28:38 W800: Timer error after protocol break
Ven 4 avr 2008 21:28:39 W800: Timer error after protocol break
Ven 4 avr 2008 21:28:40 W800: Timer error after protocol break
These messages stop when I do one of the following:
- when I disconnect the antena
- or a valid order arrives through a switch or a motion sensor or a
security device
- or when I quit XTension and relaunch
During a quiet period, when I look at the W800 window in the windows
menu and with the debug option ON, I see a continuous flow of data
like this:

My interpretation is that the antena is picking up constantly noise
and may be sometimes it looks like something and I get the "W800 Timer
error after protocol break" line in the log.
What can I do to avoid these lines ? is there an option in the
software ? I think I remember playing with some adjustments when the
W800 came out, are these still available and could they help ? or do I
have to filter at the antena ?
Thank you all for help !
