The January issue is out. This marks the 50th anniversary of the
publication. In it they list the "50 products that changed the
world" (in the last 50 years). Here's some highlights:

#50 - the Pontiac GTO (1964)
#29 - the Big Mac (1968)
#17 - the Apple quicktake 100 digital camera (1994)
#12 - the Apple iPod MP3 player (2001)
#1 - the Apple Macintosh desktop computer (1984)

!! #1 product that has changed the world in the last 50 years !!

I know it has changed mine - and to think I had the nerve to turn my
128k Mac into a fishbowl!!

Three of the top 50 belong to Apple! And this is not a computer buff
magazine. There's breast implants, the birth control pill, cars,
hamburgers, and Viagra in there among those top 50. I think we all
should be proud little zealots tonight.
