I've been trying to understand how this list works for a while now and I'm
still unsure but I've enjoyed some of the conversations I've seen thus far.
I'm sure most of you are aware of the strikes and student/worker protests in
the states as well as in Vienna, Germany, etc. After taking some time
reading various blogs, that I'll link below, I've come to the pleasing
realization that the movement has a much more radical side than I had
originally thought. Perhaps I'm not saying anything new to you guys but I
was surprised to not see any conversation about these recent events. Some of
the communiques put out by these groups harken back very much so to the ones
put forth by the SI.

I'm finding this all to be quite exciting as a student! There certainly
seems to be a rift between the more radical activists and the reformist
liberals calling simply for a return to the "good ol' days". There is a
large march planned for end of this month that will descend on Sacramento
but it seems that it'll be in vain, as the whole thing is rather hijacked at
this point. I'm hopeful this energy continues to spread, though.
