My sense of urgency makes me think that you (JLB) need a therapy but Lacan will not be the effective one. Prophecies, religious fanaticism and ideological habits, as well as addictive practices, are going to be considered as dna matter that might be solved through genetic engineering. I am not surprised at these conclusions and don't despise me for appearing cynical. I still do believe that when people have their own fixations on something useless but dangerous others are still engaged to help them. It is called (a bit of) progress and that's why it will prevail. Be modernist, be smart.
