I entirely agree. It all looks a bit parochial and to be perfectly honest there is more than a hint of seige mentality given some of the shrillness in evidence here.

Australia 1972 -hey Australia is not even on this event map anywhere yet it
was the first country to introduce the 8 hour day for workers and unionised
labour. Or what about the APG Aboriginal Provisional Government backed by
the Black Panthers and Gaddafi
Current movements/events : There is a country 3 hours plane flight from me.
Its called East Timor. First independent nation of the 21st
Century.Revolutionary/People power government. Last time I checked it came
up on Google. No the Pacific rim and SoutheastAsia hasn't fallen off the
globe or sunk due to rising tides.
Ditto Iran. Its astonishing that a forum devoted to Situationist theory has
ignored the "I am the media" driven revolt in Iran by individuals
filming,commenting and blogging directly from the streets. TV news where I
live is using this footage nightly. No corporate Western mediation
needed.Facebook is the other site for the revolt's voice.
If we do not include a truly international framework for discussion it looks
rather amateur hour does it not?
