GG Allin was definitely once an alive guy thing. His shocking tactics may have been on a rock stage rather than performance art stage but yet...shocking...none the less. I think it was Lydia Lunch who performed less offensive female versions of GG's attitudinal pranks.

Then there were the point blankness of Chris Burden's bullet....or his mimicking Jesus piercing on a VW Beetle.
