Dear Golden Showers,

Did you know, seriously, that Charles Bernstein's and Susan Bee's daughter Emily Bee Bernstein died by her own hand this Christmas in Venice, where she was interning at the Peggy Guggenheim foundation? She had been in a serious auto accident previously and suffered post-trauma depression.

I attended the memorial service for Emily at Susan Bee's Gallery, A.I.R., in Brooklyn. Susan and I are friends from the 70s when we both reviewed art and edited for Women Artists News.

Ron Silliman had a picture of Emily on his blog spot in December, when the sad event occurred.

> There are noticeable similarities in Richard Tuttles conversation with Charles Bernstein at PennSound to Heidegger's text on "The Origin of the Work of Art." [...not that I agree to Tuttle or Heidegger but the intertexual conversation is very interesting---especially as one way of looking at what might be an aboriginal sort of thing]
