I like this remark. As I see, there are two points in all this
discussion that relate to anarchism.
a) seeing anarchism as an organizational tool, ask if people on the
vegan movement can benefit from it. If even ARPA took benefit from
it, why not a small bunch of radical beings?
b) seeing anarchism as the organizational tool we want to implement for
the management of human society (substituting liberalism or socialdemocracy),
ask if this project gets some benefit by supporting vegan movement. Anarchists
support anarchosindicalism with this goal, even thought that unions have
not the same objetive.
(BTW, bomb-throwing were supported by anarchism in the early age
trying to win positions inside the resulting chaos, given the political
situation in that time. Regretly only Lenin got finally some benefit)
It is plainly wrong to claim relationships between anarchism and
other iniciatives, only telling that they share a common set of
humanitarian values. For instance, also socialdemocracy, socialism, and
christianism share such set of humanitarian values. But such thing is
only motivation to implement the system, and it is not to be confused
with the system itself.
In fact, anarchism can be also motivated by non "humanitarian" reasons,
as an anarchist world is expected to be more productive than a
capitalist one.
