JPEG question
Someone used the term "refried" referring to resaving and recompressing a JPEG image. (That's a great metaphor.)
I understand that if you do repeatedly save a JPEG, you'll wind up with defective results (think, Michael Keaton in "Multiplicity").
My question: if you resave the JPEG at a lower compression (bigger number, better quality), will you still get the problems of "refrying" the JPEG?----
