Depends .. I have an old laptop I take to clients with me.. works wonders
(and you can calibrate a laptop monitor -- but calibrating is only as good
as ones eyes) because I can take mockups I've worked on already and present
them to them and we can make changes in real time. Makes it alot easier to
show them what I'm doing and imho it makes communication a lot easier.

having said that however, I do most of my intial designs and polish after
meetings with clients on my desktop (g4) unless I'm out of town, or feeling
like being a bum and working at the beach :)
